Winning Film and Photofreaks competition.

I recently participated in a school event called MSEM, where I was part of a delegation with five other students. My media classmates, Khizar and I, took part in the Film and Photofreaks competition. The challenge consisted of three topics and tasks, with only 15 minutes to film each one.

In the first round, we were asked to create a time-lapse video. Khizar and I decided to capture the event's atmosphere by walking around the school and recording the activities. Our time-lapse video successfully made it through to the next round.

The second task proved to be more daunting: creating a narrative short film within a 2-minute time frame, all within a 15-minute filming window. I conceived an idea where the protagonist walks down a hallway, only to be transported back to the starting point, creating a time loop effect. However, time ran out before we could complete filming, and we were forced to edit the incomplete footage. Unfortunately, the narrative wasn't fully conveyed, but surprisingly, we still managed to pass that round.

In the third round, we were tasked with capturing creative photographs based on a specific theme. I suggested documenting the vibrant stalls and attendees at the event. As we began snapping pictures, I experimented with capturing various light sources within the venue using low exposure settings. This series of photographs was aptly titled "Following the Light of MSEM."

Unfortunately, I fell ill and couldn't attend the second day of the event. However, my teammate Khizar represented us in the fourth round, and we successfully advanced.

Our efforts ultimately paid off when the results were announced: we emerged as the winners of the Film and Photofreaks competition, receiving a medal for our achievement. Moreover, the rest of our delegation excelled in their respective competitions, and we were collectively awarded shields for being the Best Delegation.
