Practice Shots: The Red Heels
One notable shot in the bathroom features the camera positioned beneath the tap, capturing the flowing water. Ideally, I would have used a small, waterproof camera to film from within the drain, ending the scene with the water flowing through it, accompanied by the distinct sound of draining water. However, due to equipment limitations, I placed the camera above the drain instead.
To achieve this shot without damaging my phone, I experimented with using a Ziplock bag as a protective barrier. After testing, I was satisfied with the result. Curious to explore alternative options, I also tried using a glass container, but this reduced the distance between the camera and the tap, yielding an unflattering shot. Ultimately, I concluded that the Ziplock bag or a waterproof phone would be the best options for capturing this unique perspective.
Filming the mirror scene presented another challenge, as I needed to conceal the camera. Initially, I considered attaching the camera to the actor, such as in their shirt pocket.
However, I quickly realized this would result in an unstable shot. Instead, I opted to film at an angle, carefully positioning the camera to avoid its reflection in the mirror.
